If you've been patiently waiting for LG Mobile South Africa to bring its latest flagship phone to our shores, you're in luck, with the LG V30+ officially available from local carriers. Unveiled alongside the LG V30 at IFA 2017 in September, the LG V30+ is not bigger than its brethren in terms of dimensions, but rather features a greater amount of onboard storage at 128 GB.

While pricing may vary depending on the retailer, LG has given the V30+ a recommended price tag of R15 649.

Starting today (1 November), Vodacom and MTN will be bundling the V30+ with LG accessories while stocks last. Those opting for Vodacom will receive a Stylus 3 (valued at R4 379) and MTN customers get a 2017 K10 smartphone (valued at R3 349).

Shifting back to the V30+, it features an OLED 6.0" FullVision display (2880x1440), with the same 18:9 aspect ratio we first saw introduced in the LG G6. Powering the V30+ is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, with 4 GB RAM and 128 onboard storage (microSD slot for up to 256 GB) in the mix, as well as 3300 mAh battery.

While that should yield a fast performance, the real selling points of the V30+, according to LG, is the camera setup. On the rear is dual lens option, with a 16 MP f/1.6 option paired with a 13 MP wide angle lens. It's a system we really enjoyed on the LG G5, and should prove equally impressive on the V30+. Added to the cameras are a couple of notable modes including Cine Effect and Point Zoom for avid video makers to play around with.
