Like Huawei, LG opted to ditch a flagship phone reveal at MWC 18 and instead slate the unveiling for its upcoming device for later in the year. That smartphone could be the G7 ThinkQ, according to a series of leaked images that surfaced online via TechRadar.

While the legitimacy of the pictures are still in question, there enough details included in the images that warrant taking notice of. The device sports the same longer display (18:9 aspect ratio) that recent LG phones like the V30+ integrate, but one difference is a bit of extra screen up top, along with a iPhone X-style notch.

There is also an unknown button on the side of the phone, which TechRadar believes to be a dedicated AI one, akin to Bixby on the Galaxy S8 and S9. With LG punting its ThinkQ platform of late, as well as tapping Google to handle the mobile AI of its flagship devices, featuring such a button would not be out of the question.

Other rumoured specifications include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage. Added to this are an 8 MP front facing camera and dual 16 MP option on the rear, which should give the G7 ThinkQ a bit more firepower than the V30S ThinkQ that LG debuted in February.

While a definitive reveal date is unknown, The Verge's sources say May is the likely month.
