Marvel releases fully fledged trailer for Black Panther
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 17 October 2017 | Categories: NewsAs we edge closer to the year's end (damn, it's gone by quickly) and the impending release of Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel Studios has not let up when it comes to hyping some of its other projects. To that end, a new fully fledged trailer for next year's Black Panther film has seen the light of day.
The teaser from a few month's ago certainly piqued our interest, and this latest offering falls into the same category. While the teaser had a clandestine feel to it, with the fictional technology-driven city of Wakanda still shrouded in mystery. This new trailer, however, sheds a bit more light on the situation, as we see T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) return to his home to tackle a threat in the form of Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan).
Perhaps the most surprising element of the trailer is Killmonger transformation at the 1:35 mark, donning a Black Panther suit of his own. As such, it seems like T'Challa's claim on the Wakandan throne is very much in contention.
Featuring a strong cast with the likes of Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave), as well as being helmed by the talented Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Creed), this Black Panther flick could be one of the most exciting properties coming out of Marvel Studios in some time. It's set to arrive in mid-February next year, so give the trailer below a spin in the meantime.
