Netflix debuts new Punisher trailer with release date in tow
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 20 October 2017 | Categories: NewsWe've been subtly impressed by the bits and pieces of Netflix's upcoming The Punisher TV series, with it perhaps bringing some grittiness back to Marvel's small screen offerings. While Jon Bernthal's (Wolf of Wall Street, The Walking Dead) turn as Frank Castle had us eagerly awaiting the title, a release date has been missing.
That changed yesterday, however, with a new trailer courtesy of Netflix confirming The Punisher’s availability on 17 November. In usual Netflix fashion, all the episodes will be ready to stream globally on 17 November, which means some heavy binge watching will be in order for all 13 episodes of season one.
Back to the trailer, much like the previous ones, it's chock full of brutal action, as we get a bit more information on Castle's back story. From what we can decipher, he was a special ops soldier who carried out some awful hits on behalf of his country. As such, along with the painful loss of his family, there will be a few more inner demons he'll have to contend with.
Okay, enough with the words, hit play on the trailer below and watch The Punisher do his thing.
