The Xbox One S has been available for pre-order since 20 February, but a precise launch date for the slimmed down console has not been forthcoming from Microsoft South Africa. Until now that is, as the company has confirmed that the Xbox One S will be available in SA from 13 April onwards.

By now, many of the Xbox One S' features should be well known, including a 40% smaller design compared to the Xbox One, as well as supporting 4K video playback and HDR (High Dynamic Range) gaming visuals.

The Xbox One S will be available in two different onboard storage sizes, with the 500 GB version retailing for a suggested R4 999, and the larger 1 TB variant carrying a R5 999 RRP.

Both consoles are still available for pre-order says Microsoft, and will continue to be so for the next two weeks (6 April), with an additional wireless controller, FIFA 17 and 12 month Xbox Live subscription bundled with the offer.
