Microsoft making Creators Update available a week early
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 31 March 2017 | Categories: newsIn October last year, Microsoft showcased a number of products designed to appeal to creatives, with the Surface Studio a clear standout. Part of bringing the devices to life was Windows 10's Creators Update, which is currently scheduled for an 11 April rollout. For those too impatient to wait until then, however, a manual download can give you early access.
Microsoft confirmed the news via a blog post earlier this week, with the Windows 10 Update Assistant facilitating the process, provided you have a licensed version of the operating system. There's also a way for Windows Insider Program members to get the Update early too, as The Verge points out, with a RTM (Release to Manufacturing) build of the Update being located on the Microsoft servers.
If you don't fall into either of the above categories though, 11 April is rollout date for PC and tablet users, with Windows Phone receiving their version of 25 April.
