If you've been keeping your ears close to the ground when it comes to Windows 10, the fact that Microsoft announced two significant updates for 2017 should come as no surprise. We've already seen one rollout to Windows 10 users in the form of the Creators Update, with the second one slated for September this year. 

Added to this, Microsoft is planning to unveil two big updates for Windows 10 over the next couple of years, with the operating system serving as the go-to for quite some time, according to the company. The time for each of the updates have also been detailed by Microsoft, with each March and September culminating in one being rolled out, and the company stating that support of the them will last for 18 months after they're released. 

As for the impending September update, Microsoft has still remained mum on what it will feature, or indeed if it will have a particular focus like the Creators Update of last month. What is known though, is that power throttling for battery-intensive applications is on the way, so the next one could be focused on refining some of the technical aspects of Windows 10.
