Fresh off the bat of the release of the latest trailer for Ratchet and Clank, Insomniac has released yet more gameplay footage. This time though, it is Clank who gets a chance to shine. Ratchet’s small robotic buddy will have plenty of new tricks up his sleeve, able to deploy different kinds of bots for various purposes. In the trailer we see him launch bridgebots, which, as the name suggests, can be used to build a bridge across to otherwise unreachable areas.

In a similar vein, he can also let loose springbots, which can then be jumped on and launch him higher up vertically, or powerbots to power up machines. It’s a little reminiscent of how Clank used bots and the Zoni in previous games, although it certainly looks like it is a fresh take on the gameplay as well.
