New Need for Speed trailer hints at return to the streets
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 22 May 2015 | Categories: newsAny Outkast fan knows the song Hootie Hoo, it's the sound you make when the cops are around and you're up to no good. As such, it's perhaps a pretty fitting way to describe the latest teaser trailer for EA's new Need for Speed title. The trailer is actual in-game footage, taken from the vantage point of onlookers as customised street racing cars go up against the fuzz. As to how much tangling with Johnny Law will play in the new game, is up for debate, but given the franchise's history, we're assuming chances are high.
EA says that the new Need for Speed is expected in Fall 2015, which is roughly August/September for those not living Stateside. Along with living on the wrong side of the law, EA promises that this new title will delve deeper into the street racing culture, as well as a "nocturnal open world", although we're not too sure what that means.
Any gamer that prefers their racing titles more Fast and Furious than Gran Turismo, should be anxiously awaiting NFS' release. Till then, click on the teaser trailer below. Hootie Hoo!
