23 March 2018: The date marked in red on our calendar for Pacific Rim 2. Now the second trailer has arrived, revealing more about the Jaeger on Jaeger action we saw in the first one.

Pacific Rim 2 is set ten years after the events of the first film, and as expected the Kaiju threat returns. However, revealed in the new trailer is the fact that it might have been humans allowing the Kaiju back in.

And the same people are also responsible for creating their own Jaeger, which we soon see facing off against our protagonist Jake Pentecost (John Boyega from The Force Awakens) and Nate Lambert (Scott Eastwood, who played Joel Stransky in Invictus). Who is this group who have enough funding to have their own Jaeger and the training facilities behind it?

We’re set to find out in March, and although this one is not directed by Guillermo del Toro, we still can’t wait. Hit play below for trailer two.
