Outlast 2's launch postponed until 2017
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 2 August 2016 | Categories: newsIf you're a big fan of survival horror games, Outlast 2 from Red Barrel is most certainly on your must-play radar. Sadly though, a recent Facebook post has doused any hopes of getting one's hands on the game this year. "We had a difficult decision to make recently," notes the developer.
That decision entails delaying the game's release until Q1 next year. At this time, a more precise date is unknown, as Red Barrel fine tunes some of Outlast 2's gameplay elements that resulted from gamer feedback during the title's recent beta rollout.
"This is not the type of news we ever want to deliver, but we are so fully committed to the world we’ve built and to our awesome community that we could not, in good conscience, release a game whose limits haven’t been tested to the extreme," adds Red Barrel.
We've added the teaser trailer for Outlast 2 below, hopefully offering some respite while waiting for the game's release.
