Overwatch Anniversary will make it free to play from 25 to 28 May
By Staff Writer 15 May 2018 | Categories: newsThe second anniversary for Overwatch is happening later this month and to celebrate the occasion developer Blizzard has a few events in store. The first is a special in-game event that kicks off on 22 May and runs until 12 June. According to Blizzard, the in-game event promises new content, totalling more than 50 items and including legendary and epic skins for characters. Added to this will be some dance emotes as well as a few elements from last year's celebration.
The event will be available for current Overwatch gamers across all its platforms, but for those who do not own a copy of the game, Blizzard is making it free to play on the PS4, Xbox One and PC from 25 to 28 May. Another nifty aspect to this free weekend for PlayStation gamers will be that no account will be required in order to log in.
Finally, Blizzard will be launching a Legendary Edition of Overwatch on 22 May, which includes 15 legendary skins with the purchase.
