If you are a fan of the Uncharted series (and if you love action adventure, there’s no reason you wouldn’t be) there is a good chance you have played or are playing the first three titles, thanks to the recent release of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (review).

However, there is an orphan treasure that you may very well not have had the pleasure of discovering if you don’t have a PS Vita, namely Golden Abyss. That game was not included in the collection, as it fell outside of the trilogy’s story arc.

The latest news is that hope is not altogether lost, with a PS4 version of Golden Abyss still being possible, according to Naughty Dog. More specifically, the developer’s community strategist, Arne Meyer, has been quoted by Finder.com as saying that it’s definitely not out of the question.

The decision, however, is not ultimately Naughty Dog’s but rather in Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida. However, if Uncharted 4 really is Nathan Drake’s swan song, it seems very likely to us that the studio and Sony would want to get all of his adventures into as many players’ hands as possible. This would make an even stronger case for ensuring Golden Abyss isn’t playable by only the PS Vita faithful.
