When you boot up your PS4 today, a firmware update will be waiting for you to download. Dubbed "NOBUNAGA" or update 5.0 for something easier to pronounce, it is set to introduce a handful of new modes, as well as a number of small changes across the board.

PlayStation recently detailed what the firmware update has in store on its blog, with the Family on PlayStation Network and enhanced Twitch broadcasting on the PS4 Pro being some of the highlights.

Diving deeper into the aforementioned features, Family on PlayStation Network will allow users to create and manage customised PSN accounts for their children and set specific settings in terms of the content they're allowed to view or play. Regarding the Twitch streaming for PS4 Pro owners, they'll be able to broadcast up to 1080p at 60 fps.

Other improvements include the ability to leave multiple messaging groups at once, as well as restrict pop-up notifications while one is watching a movie or video, along with the option to toggle message preview information on or off. Also worth mentioning is the update to the Quick Menu, for gamers to check out the status of downloads or invites a bit more easily.

Update 5.0 is currently rolling out to all PS4, PS4 Pro and PSVR owners, and should be accessible in coming days if it isn't already.
