PUMA and Ferrari fuel new F1 gear for Las Vegas GPBy Staff Writer 7 November 2023 | Categories: news
There’s a lot of hype for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix, with this newly added street circuit promising as much action off the track as on it. The F1 circus has been to Vegas before, the last being in 1982, but the 6.2 km track around the Las Vegas Strip is a first.
PUMA together with Scuderia Ferrari and in collaboration with artist and designer Joshua Vides believe they have the gear to match the occasion. The apparel manufacturer notes this collaboration blends artistry and motorsport heritage, paying homage to the first "golden era" of Formula 1 in America with the iconic colors of the 1970s.
The Joshua Vides for Scuderia Ferrari: Back to Las Vegas collection includes apparel, footwear and accessories designed for both the racetrack and the streets. The iconic Ferrari red, traditionally accompanied by white accents on the car liveries during the 1970s, is now making a return for the Las Vegas GP.
Vides has created a hand-drawn and hand-painted look and feel throughout the products, bringing a artisan touch to the collection. For instance, the crew sweater showcases a brushing effect with a round number circle at its center, giving the impression of being painted by hand. This effect can also be observed in the white brushing detail across the race jacket, hoodie and pants.
Key pieces in the collection include a race jacket and pants, a hoodie, a crew sweater, and Las Vegas-themed tees. Footwear enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with a selection that features the PUMA Suede, TUFF, and RS-X sneakers, each reflecting the high-speed energy and style of Scuderia Ferrari.
PUMA is, of course, no stranger to F1, also partnering with Williams Racing, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake. If you are looking for the Scuderia Ferrari: Back to Las Vegas collection, PUMA notes it can be found by visiting PUMA.COM, PUMA Retail stores and Sportscene.
