Felix Kjellberg, more commonly known as PewDiePie recently claimed the top spot for Forbes' Highest Earning YouTubers for 2016. The Swedish let's play star also has the most number of subscribers on the video platform, crossing the 50 million threshold recently. While that's a significant number in its own right, it holds greater meaning as Kjellberg stated he would delete his channel once he surpassed this milestone.

With that type of fanbase, it should be interesting to see if he in fact does so. Indeed he just might, as PewDiePie sent out a tweet yesterday stating that the channel will be deleted at 19:00 (SAST) tonight.

In recent months, Kjellberg has been fairly vocal about his criticism of YouTube, and how their recent changes have negatively affected his channel, specifically citing the promotion of clickbaiting videos over other content. You can hear him rant about it in the video below. What PewDiePie has planned if he indeed deletes the channel remains to be seen, but at 19:01 tonight, things should be clearer.
