Premiere date for Attack on Titan season 2 announced
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 7 February 2017 | Categories: newsNormally the first of April is reserved for tedious pranks and jokes, but there will be some respite for anime fans come April Fools, with Funimation confirming that the second season of Attack on Titan will begin airing then.
The first season aired in 2013, with English dubbed versions slowly finding their way to us a year or so later. To say that fans of the series have been eagerly anticipating the second season, is an understatement.
The show's creators have tried to keep a tight lid on events for this season, but we already know that the mysterious Beast Titan will be making an appearance, along with a handful of other abnormal or special Titan. As such, the season should illuminate many of the conspiracies fans who haven't read the manga have been talking about.
To tide you over until 1 April, watch the trailer for season two below (Japanese). We've also included the Japanese live action one for good measure.
