To call game studio Remedy's upcoming Xbox One/Windows PC exclusive title Quantum Break ambitious would be an understatement. We first saw the game in all its glory debut at last year's Gamescom, as Microsoft showcased the look and feel of this fast-paced title, along with the live-action TV series that will accompany it. With the game's 5 April release date now a week away, a new game trailer has debuted, bringing the antagonists into sharper focus.

The villains in question are Martin Hatch (Lance Reddick, Fringe) and Paul Serene (Aidan Gillen, Game of Thrones), with the latter seeming to pull most of the strings. While the exact plot is still hard to pin down at this stage, it's clear that the Monarch Corporation that the pair of them work for is up to no good.

While we're still unsure how in-game actions from Quantum Break will affect the TV series plot, this will certainly be an experiment any avid Xbox One and PC user will want to be a part of. If you're still unsure of what Quantum Break has to offer, we've thrown in the nine minute gameplay trailer as well.
