Queen biopic gets full trailer
By Staff Writer 18 July 2018 | Categories: newsWe’ve seen the teaser, now it’s time for the full trailer. The first one has dropped for Bohemian Rhapsody, the film that looks like it might just send all Queen fans into a fit of bliss.
Tracking the rise of the mercurial band until their stunning performance at Live Aid in 1985, the movie showcases the man from Mr Robot, Rami Malek as Farrokh Bulsara, better known to most as Freddy Mercury. The role originally was set to go to Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat), but he departed due to creative differences.
Onboard is Gwilym Lee (Midsomer Murders) who nails it as Queen’s lead guitarist Brian May, Ben Hardy (X-Men Apocalypse) performs as drummer Roger Taylor, and Joe Mazzello (Jurassic Park) is bassist John Deacon. There is also a bit part from Mike Myers (Austin Powers) as a record executive.
The movie is primarily attributed to director Brian Singer, but he had a less than amicable departure just before filming finished, to be replaced by Dexter Fletcher. But all's well that ends well they say, and the new trailer once again rocks some great Queen riffs masterfully blended together.
Fans of Queen would have to wait until November when Bohemian Rhapsody should see a local release. Luckily, the trailer below should get you rocking.
