The Raspberry Pi Foundation has been making its supremely successful Model B Raspberry Pi for four years now. To mark the milestone the company, with its significant focus on designing educational computer hardware at a very wallet-friendly price, has unveiled an upgraded version of its Raspberry Pi 3. This new model has been a year in the making, according to CEO, Eben Upton.

The key standout aspects of the upgrade see a new 64-bit processor (1.2 GHz quad-core), replace the 900 MHz version found on the previous model. Added to this, is built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, but as Engadget points out, this might require users to upgrade the onboard 2.5A power supply the Raspberry Pi 3 utilises.

Most pleasing of all, however, is that the Raspberry Pi still retains its $35 price tag. The company has also confirmed that its other models will keep the same pricing, with the Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+ and Raspberry Pi 2 Model B retailing for $20 and $35 respectively.
