Reports say Marvel vs. Capcom 4 on the cards for 2017
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 29 November 2016 | Categories: newsCapcom is having a bit of a renaissance when it comes to console gaming. The company's Street Fighter V title has proved a hit with most fans of the franchise, and now the company is reportedly set to resurrect one of its other much beloved franchises - Marvel vs. Capcom.
According to sources at Polygon, the announcement of the Marvel vs. Capcom 4 will happen sooner than we think, already at this week's PlayStation Experience event in Anaheim, California. Capcom is hosting a Street Fighter V event, with the new title rumoured for unveiling.
As far as information on the game goes, Capcom's roster of characters from Street Fighter V are expected, but on the Marvel side of things, the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy and other Marvel Studios properties could be in the mix. This might mean that Wolverine and other X-Men may be omitted from this tile due to their affiliation with 20th Century Fox. If that does indeed happen, expect an outcry from fans, with TechSmart in particular leading the charge.
We don't want to jump the gun, so it's best to keep one's attention firmly fixed on PlayStation Experience later this week for more concrete information.
