It looks like the wait for Crackdown 3 will take even longer, with Kotaku reporting that the game's release has been pushed back to 2019. The Xbox-exclusive title was originally scheduled for debut last year, but has been mired by delays in development for some time now.

According to Kotaku's sources, Microsoft is giving the Crackdown 3 development team more time to fine tune their offering, but given how long gamers have had to wait, will there still be a demand for the game when it finally hits consoles next year?

With the two studios behind Crackdown 3, Regant Games and Sumo Digital, still working hard on the title, Microsoft seems to be giving them as much time as possible to ensure that another exclusive game does not get axed like Scalebound and Phantom Dust did.

We should still see Crackdown surface at this week's E3 though, which should hopefully offer gamers some respite.
