Resident Evil 7: Biohazard launching on Nintendo Switch in Japan this week
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 21 May 2018 | Categories: newsOver the course of this year, Nintendo has been been adding several action adventure titles to the Switch's ranks, which had previously been available only on the PS4 and Xbox One. Now the company is readying to port Resident Evil 7: Biohazard over to the Nintendo Switch later this week. There are, however, a few caveats, with the game only available to those in Japan, along with being a digital only release.
To that end, it has been named Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Cloud Version, clunky we know, with gamers required to download a relatively small 45 MB file in order to have access to the game. It will also require a constant internet connection in order to play when it arrives on 24 May.
There is said to be a 15-minute long tree trail version of the game available, with gamers wanting to continue playing having to pay ¥2 000 (R230). This Cloud Version of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will also include all the DLC that has been released for the game to date. Whether a version that does not require an internet connection, will be on the way for other countries, remains to be seen.
