If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of WWE 2K18, which hits consoles and PCs on 17 October, this latest bit of news might be enough to tide you over until then. Developers 2K Games recently detailed the roster of superstars that will be appearing in this year's iteration of the game, with 46 in total being announced at this stage.

This is only the initial batch of superstars joining the in-game action, which means that more will be on the way. Hopefully more veteran wrestlers will be added to the mix, including some of our favourites like the Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels and Macho Man Randy Savage.

The list of 46, however, is fairly comprehensive, providing a good ratio of WWE superstars past and present. The current roster is as follows:

Akira Tozawa, Alexander Wolfe, Alundra Blayze, Andre the Giant, Bam Bam Bigelow, Baron Corbin, Big Boss Man, Big Show, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Bret Hart, Brie Bella, British Bulldog, Buddy Roberts, Bushwhacker Butch, Bushwhacker Luke, Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Diamond Dallas Page, Diesel, Dolph Ziggler, Dusty Rhodes, Emma, Eric Young, Erick Rowan, Hideo Itami, Jinder Mahal, Kalisto, Kane, Karl Anderson, Killian Dain, Konnor, Lita, Luke Gallows, Luke Harper, Mark Henry, Nikki Bella, Nikki Cross, Paige, Sami Zayn, Sawyer Fulton, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Summer Rae, Undertaker, Viktor.
