Samsung accepting smartphone trade-ins for new devices
By Staff Writer 20 February 2014 | Categories: newsSamsung has revealed plans for a sales initiative named the ‘Smart Trade programme’, allowing consumers to trade-in their existing old smartphones for a new reduced rate Samsung one. This initiative is aimed at enticing new consumers to join Samsung as well as increase exposure to its Experience Stores.
Each valid smartphone device that is brought into an Experience Store will be graded by technicians and categorised as either perfect, good or non-functional/broken. Based on the category a smartphone has been assigned, consumers will receive a redeemable coupon to use against the value of a new Samsung smartphone or phablet. This includes the Galaxy S4 (Review), Note 3 (Review) and Note 10.1(Review).
As tempting as this offer may be, it does come with a couple of provisos, namely that consumers may only trade-in smartphone devices, so that Nokia 3310 you’ve been keeping all this time is out of the question.
Consumers can visit the Samsung site, for more information on this new offer.
