Ever since Sony unveiled its highly specced Xperia XZ Premium flagship phone at MWC 17 earlier this year, we've been anxiously waiting for the Japanese company to bring the device to local shores. 

That date is edging closer, with the device up for pre-order via local carrier MTN. Those interested in the flagship, which sports a 4K HDR capable 5.5" display, octa-core Snapdragon 835 CPU and 19 MP camera among other aspects, is available for pre-order between now and 5 July. There's added incentive too, with the first 100 people vetted for the device also receiving an Xperia Ear wearable device. 

While the flagship phone is up for pre-order, the precise RRP remains amiss, with Gearburn suggesting it may cost in the region of R17 499. We've reached out to Sony Mobile South Africa for exact availability and pricing, but are yet to receive feedback, but will keep you updated.
