A device debuted at MWC 18 in March this year, the Xperia XZ2 is one of the last phones revealed in Barcelona to now be hitting our shores. We've gotten the chance to the review the device, and its mix of high-powered specifications, superb all-round camera and solid price tag make it a good value for money offering in the flagship market.

It also recently received the honour of being named the smartphone with the world's best battery performance by Strategy Analysis, with the research firm claiming it can muster up to 36 hours before needing a recharge.

Now Sony Mobile South Africa have detailed the local availability and contract (24 month) pricing for the device.

It is available from Vodacom on the uChoose Flexi 165 for R599 p/m, from Telkom on the FreeMe 1 GB for R549 p/m, and MTN Made for Me M for R599 p/m. All three contract options also come with a Made for Xperia cover for the XZ2. Those wanting to purchase the phone sans contract, the recommended price tag is R13 499.
