In 2001 a crime-comedy hit the big screen, with many people not quite sure what to make of Super Troopers. Zany, loopy, insane and full of shenanigans, the movie ended up as a bit of a cult classic. Now the first trailer for Super Troopers 2 has appeared, and if you were hoping for more of the same offbeat comedy from the state troopers, you’ve got it.

This time round the team faces off against a foe that cannot be beat, as a border dispute between Canada and the US sees their highway patrol station relocated into the disputed zone.

To get Super Troopers 2 where it is today, the Broken Lizard comedy team had to fund the production themselves. This resulted in a massively successful Indiegogo campaign, with its $2 million funding goal reached in just 26 hours, raising an eventual $4.4 million.

Super Troopers 2 also sees the introduction of Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation) and Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), while Jay Chandrasekhar, is back as both director and actor (Thorny).
