TECNO launches entry-level POP 5 LTE in South Africa
By Staff Writer 22 June 2022 | Categories: newsThe POP 5 LTE has officially launched in South Africa as Chinese brand TECNO expands its entry-level device category. Selling for R2 299, the POP 5 LTE comes equipped with a long-lasting 5000 mAh battery, one if its biggest selling points.
The smartphone runs on the Android 11 Go Edition operating system and boasts dual sim capacity, which allows users to switch between two different mobile networks on the same device.
Also onboard the POP 5 LTE is a 5 MP front camera, 8 MP dual rear camera with artificial intelligence technology, as well as a 6.52” HD Dot-Notch display (720x1600).
Housed in a plastic body, the device also comes with a 64 GB internal storage capacity and 2 GB worth or RAM, complete with a MicroSD card slot to expand storage space.
To help with security, the POP 5 LTE has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, with the phone available in South Africa in two colours, Turquoise Cyan and Ice Blue.
As part of the launch, TECNO is going live with a Spin and Win competition on the TECNO South Africa social media platforms, where followers will stand a chance to win various prizes weekly.
The Tecno POP 5 LTE device is available at major retailers including Jet, Edgars, Mr Price as well as Foschini Group Stores. The device retails for R2 299.00.
