Ever wondered how the Rebel Alliance found that convenient little exhaust port to allow Luke Skywalker to destroy the Death Star? Well the mission that involved stealing the plans to the Death Star will soon be coming to the big screen. Yes, the first teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has surfaced online, and with it the, expanded the Star Wars movie universe.

Our hero in this story is Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything). Erso is not one for abiding by the law, but much like Liam Neeson in the Taken franchise, she has a very particular set of skills. As a result, she's a prime candidate to investigate the weapon that The Empire are running tests on.

Godzilla director Gareth Edwards is helming this one, and by all early accounts from the trailer below, things looks to be spot on. Our most pressing question at this stage is whether we'll see Darth Vader join the action? In the last scenes in the trailer (pasted above), we see Erso donning a TIE fighter suit, and the faint sound of Vader's iconic breathing in the background. Whether this is simply Edwards trolling fans is unclear, but hopefully a full length trailer will shed some light on this situation.
