TomTom Africa Developer Day and User Conference coming to Midrand

The event takes place from 21-22 April 2015 at the Bytes Conference Centre in Midrand, and, best of all, it’s free to attend.
The event will take an in-depth look at what drives business needs and how application development can cater to these requirements. The event will also include unique user input and experience and how these insights change application development for the better.
Topics for discussion include:
• Business application of LBS Formats (Location Based Services)
• Strategic logistic insights into fleet management from a global and African perspective
• Interpretation of traffic information and its supplication from a business perspective
• Effective road system management (tolling etc.)
• The ‘Connected Car’ demystified
• WhereIsMyTransport – a user-friendly app to assist people in locating reliable public transport
On offer are a number of industry speakers, including Charles Cautley, TomTom MD: Maps and Licensing, Kim Fennell, president and CEO of deCarta, and keynote speakers from IBM, SANRAL, University of Stellenbosch, WhereIsMyTransport & InfoTech.
There will also be a Hackathon where participants stand the chance of winning R20 000 if they can crack the code.
