Twitter announces the arrival of stickers for users to edit photos
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 28 June 2016 | Categories: newsTaking a play out of Snapchat's playbook, Twitter has unveiled its own version of stickers for users to edit photos before posting. The company has released a number of emoji and props for use, which the company says is "a fun new way to add creativity to your photos and connect them to the world on Twitter."
The feature is not fully available on all operating systems as of yet, but in a Tweet to disclose the news, Twitter notes that it will roll out across all devices (mobile and desktop) compatible with the social media app in coming months.

Added to the introduction of stickers, once an image that includes them is Tweeted out, the sticker becomes searchable much like a hashtag. As such, if users tap on a sticker within a photo, they'll be directed to a timeline that features the same sticker.
Whether stickers prove as popular on Twitter as they do on Snapchat, remains to be seen.
