Venom second trailer entices even moreBy Staff Writer 1 August 2018 | Categories: news
The more we see of Venom, the better it looks. After a less than impressive teaser and a good first trailer, it now stands at an impressive second trailer, which was released just yesterday.
Tom Hardy (The Revenant) is Eddie Brock, an investigative reporter who stumbles upon a symbiote programme experimenting on humans. While visiting the lab where the testing is taking place, Brock comes into contact with the alien symbiote and, well the rest they say is history. With Venom taking him over, some questions remain – what exactly is Venom, and what does it want? “We do whatever we want,” Venom quite ominously spouts at one stage.
How many symbiotes will eventually turn up, since from IGN's disection of the trailer, we currently stand at three, including Scream and Riot. And are we set for a major face-off? If the trailer is anything to go by, yes indeed.
Although the movie looks quite dark and broody – seeing that it does feature Tom Hardy – the trailer shows that perhaps it’s not all doom and gloom. After Venom appears to eat a criminal, it returns back to Brock, who calmly notes, “I have a parasite”.
Venom is slated to hit US cinemas on 5 October. Hit play on trailer two below for some serious Venom action, and then check out IGN’s breakdown below it.
