Remember when Ice Cube tried to play the xXx agent in 2005's State of the Union film? If you don't, count yourself lucky. For those who had to sit through the movie, there is hope, as Vin Diesel is reprising his role for a third installment in the franchise - xXx: Return of Xander Cage. 

It's been 14 years since Diesel first inhabited the character, and now the first trailer for his return was seen the light of day. There is plenty going on in the trailer below, but perhaps the immortal words of Samuel L. Jackson sums it up best: "Kick some ass. Try to look dope while you're doing it." 

Joining Diesel and Jackson is Ruby Rose, from Orange is the New Black fame, as well as a cameo from real-life footballer Neymar Jr. as he kicks some things around. 

There willl no doubt be more insane trailers for this movie to come, but any fans of the original should diarise early 2017 for the Return of Xander Cage's official theatrical release.
