Wolfenstein: The Old Blood prequel announced and impending
By Ryan Noik 6 March 2015 | Categories: newsWolfenstein is one game that simply will not die; if Wolfenstein:The New Order, which released last year didn’t convince you of this already, then perhaps the newly announced prequel, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, will.
The game, which is due in May, will apparently stand alone and will see B.J. Blazkowicz embarking on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria circa 1946 to turn the war back in the Allies favour.
Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - sees Blazkowicz go up against a maniacal prison warden (are there any other kinds?), as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. Part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – takes him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artefacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.
The game will be available digitally and in retail from May 5, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 system and PC, and digital only for the Xbox One. Take a look at the trailer below to see it in action.
