Wonder Woman virtual race happening this Sunday
By Staff Writer 6 August 2020 | Categories: newsThis Sunday (9 August 2020) sees the return of the Justice League Virtual Run series, this time with Wonder Woman as the hero in charge. If you are not familiar with these events, the Justice League Virtual Run series sees runners and walkers from across the country signing up for the race and completing a distance of 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km or 10 km in their own neighbourhood on race day.
There’s a good reason behind this, with the organisers of the event, Sportsvendo, partnering with institutions and making contributions to beneficiaries such as Headstart Kids, which provides food packs and nutritional support to children aged six months to five years. Their target is to aid in the distribution of 150 000 meals and/or nutritional support over the remainder of the year.
If you sign up for a race, you receive a really nice Super Hero Kit goodie bag. Each person that enters gets a collector’s edition medal per event, a limited-edition t-shirt and a special button badge too. Entries start at R190 per person (R160 if you are a student), with family and group packages also available. If you enter today for the Wonder Woman race, you will receive your Super Hero Kit within 8 days after the date of your entry.
Maybe the Wonder Woman event this Sunday is too close for comfort? There’s enough time to get fit for the Aquaman race on 6 September, with the Batman race taking place on 4 October and The Flash Run happening 8 November 2020.
