They might have taken their pretty time, but at long last we have a proper trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). As the third instalment in the Red Dead saga (don’t forget 2004’s Red Dead Revolver), RDR2 is certainly highly anticipated, in no small degree due to its quite awesome older brother that appeared way back in 2010.

Part and parcel to the series is the western experience and it looks set to continue with RDR2. The trailer is slightly patchy, so for an outline we have to trust developers Rockstar Games when they note it’s the story of “outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.” For the finer detail, Rockstar is  pretty stingy with their information, although they promise a new online multiplayer experience.

As far as when the game will see the light of day, seeing that RDR2 has already been pushed out, cowboys will have to wait until autumn next year for it to make an appearance on the PS4 and Xbox One.
