iPad Pro rumoured to sport separate keyboard, stylus and MacBook-esque pricing
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 8 September 2015 | Categories: newsThe big tech event this week is undoubtedly Apple's Fall showcase. There are a number of devices expected to debut, some of which we've already covered. But now, rumours have begun churning about the much-hyped iPad Pro. It's the high powered tablet that’s been anticipated for more than six months, and it appears as if Apple will finally unveil it tomorrow.
As such, some information on the device itself has surfaced on the internet, with Apple afficianados, 9to5Mac leading the charge. The site's sources says the iPad Pro will sport a 12.9" display up front. If that turns out to be true, it should interesting to see how it impacts sales of the MacBook Air, Apple's top selling ultrabook. Added to screen details, 9to5Mac says the iPad Pro will run a new A9X processor internally, which is a step up from the iPad Air 2. It's still unclear how much RAM will feature, but the iPad Pro is expected to arrive in 64 GB and 128 GB onboard storage options.
Furthermore, 9to5Mac believes the iPad Pro will house LTE-enabled chips on par with that of the new MacBook, which debuted earlier in the year. Another similarity to the MacBook will be price, according to sources, with range topping model retailing for an estimated $1 000 plus. Along with pricing info, 9to5Mac confirms that a Force Touch integrated stylus and keyboard will also see the light of day tomorrow evening.
If all this turns out to be true, we wonder how the iPad Pro will perform against MacBook Air. To keep up with all the happenings from tomorrow's Apple event (starting at 19:00 PM), be sure to follow @TechSmartMag, as we'll be live tweeting.
