iPhone 8 release date for SA announced
By Press Release 6 October 2017 | Categories: newsGet your money ready, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are coming to SA. 20 October is the date of release, with the local Apple iStore noting that the units will come with two special offers to help celebrate the iPhone’s tenth year of existence.
First up is iCare Plus for mahala, offering the two-year extended warranty product, which includes screen repair coverage, valued at R1499. To qualify, vouchers can be secured for a limited time only via https://www.myistore.co.za/freeicareplus.
People who buy the new smartphones also receive double trade in, which is unfortunately not double the value of your trade-in Apple product, but rather the ability to trade in two qualifying iOS products towards the upgrade of a new iPhone 8.
Both offers are unique to iStore, and are valid for cash purchases, on contract (upgrades) from most of the country’s networks and with the iStore Card payment plan.
The cost of the Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in South Africa is not known yet, although Stateside pricing for the new iPhone 8 models start at $699, with the larger iPhone 8 Plus available from $799. When the iPhone X will launch locally remains anyone’s guess at this stage.
