There are few things that entice like the word ‘sale’ and even more so when it is preceded by those other catnip-like words for many gadgeteers, ‘Apple products.’ Thus, those hungering for a new device to add to their arsenal should take note of the iStore’s annual nationwide sale, which starts today and runs a full month till the 29th of June.

Deals on offer include new iPad mini 16GB Wi-Fi tablets for R3 000, the iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi and Cellular for R4 000 and the iPad with Retina display 16GB Wi-Fi and Cellular for R5 000. Furthermore, if an iMac has been on your shopping list for a while, then the 21.5” iMac (Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHZ) may now be in your gaze, as it has had its price dropped by R2 500 to R14 000.

Tasty chops

Additionally, demo/open-box versions of iPads, Macs and iPods are also being sold for 20% off, while the price on demo iPhone 5c and 64GB iPhone 5s’ has been slashed by 10%.

Not left out in the cold either are iStore accessories, with iPad and iPhone covers starting at R100 and R50 respectively, not a bad saving considering that these typically start at around R350 and climb northwards from there. Also receiving a 20% discount are Bose docking stations as well as iPod shuffles (down to R560) and Apple’s Magic Mouse, which have been given price drops of R240 and R430 respectively.

One caveat though, is that apparently the sale is subject to while stocks last, with items on hand varying from one iStore to the next.
