Epics puts Gears of War 3 story up to a vote

According to IGN, a new character, Clayton Carmine, will be introduced in the game and his fate (if he lives or dies) in Gears of War 3 will be put up to a vote. Fans can cast their vote by purchasing virtual clothes for their Xbox Avatar via the Avatar Marketplace on the Xbox Live Marketplace, fans will cast their vote by choosing between two t-shirts. They have the option between “Save Carmine” and “Carmine Must Die”.
The voting begins on 29 July, but visitors to this years San Diego Comic-Con will get a chance to cast their votes earlier as real limited edition t-shirts with similar logos will be on sale for $20 (about R150). The proceeds obtained from the sale of these Avatar t-shirts will be donated to the Child’s Play charity.
Gears of War 3 will be released for the Xbox 360 on 5 April 2011 in the US, 7 April 2011 in Japan and 8 April 2011 in Europe and the rest of the world.
