By Ryan Noik 8 November 2011 | Categories: newsThis week, Kaspersky Lab launched its new African online store, which will make a wider range of products available to users than what is currently available in retail stores.
The company elaborated that customers will be able to buy both consumer and corporate Kaspersky Lab products and services “to meet every security need”.
“We are extremely excited to be able to offer a local online site for our South African and African customers,” said Stephan van der Merwe, head of operations for Sub-Saharan Africa, Kaspersky Lab Africa.
“The online store will allow customers across Africa to browse and purchase products in the convenience of their own home or office in their own national currency,” he continued.
Customers will also be able to take advantage of special offerings and promotions which will only be available via the online store.
“The online store allows us to expand our local reach and service offering in Africa. Certainly we are committed to delivering only the best of services and products to our customers, and with the opening of this new online Africa store, it once again reaffirms Kaspersky Lab’s commitment to Africa,” concluded van der Merwe.
In recent news Kaspersky Lab warned that cyber-criminals had set their sights on Android devices, while 34% of malware discovered on the mobile OS was found to be involved in stealing users’ data.
