Wireless devices are cool, but changing their batteries every so often isn’t. Logitech announced the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 yesterday, to address this issue. It’s the first keyboard-and-mouse combination that sports a battery life of up to three years for both the keyboard and the mouse using standard AA batteries.
The MK710 also features a small Logitech Unifying receiver, that can support up to six different Unifying-compatible Logitech keyboards and mouses. Its keyboard design includes Logitech Incurve keys as well as a cushioned palm rest for added comfort. The keys apparently support the shape of your fingertips, in order to help guide your fingers to the right keys. Accompanying the keyboard is the laser mouse that supports hyper-fast scrolling allowing you to easily breeze through long documents.
“No one thinks about changing batteries until they have to, but when that time comes, it can stop you in your tracks,” says Romain du Gardier, Sales & Marketing Manager for the Southern Africa developed countries, Indian Ocean Islands, Nigeria and Ghana. “With its industry first, three year battery life for a combo, you might just forget the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 uses batteries at all.”
Logitech’s Wireless Desktop MK710 will arrive in South Africa in April with an estimated retail price is R1 200.
