The Japanese often do things a little differently, just watch any of their game shows and you'll know what we're talking about. The same often goes for their video game announcements. Case in point, Capcom, which has just confirm the development of a remastered version of the Resident Evil game from 2002. Titled, Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered, this new edition will be available across all console platforms and PC, with an early 2016 release date slated for the game.

Capcom broke the news via the rather weird video below. It features Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, who is the lead director on the HD remastered edition of Resident Evil 0. He begins by stating that something exciting is on the way from Capcom, after which he whips out a herb for some inexplicable reason. He then introduces the original game's director Koji Oda and new producer Tsukasa Takenaka, before handing over the potted herb.

The pair then go on to unveil the remastered game's title (herb in hand), along with the aforementioned early 2016 cross-platform release date. For now though, this is all that Capcom has decided to detail, but we'll be sure to keep all survival horror gaming fans in the loop.
