First American Gods trailer is violent and trippy
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 16 March 2017 | Categories: NewsEver since we heard Starz was developing an TV series adaptation of Neil Gaiman's brilliant novel American Gods, we've been clamoring for a first look. Thankfully, that day has come, with the US network releasing a fully fledged trailer for the series. In it, we're introduced to the lead in the form of Shadow Moon (played by Ricky Whittle, The 100), along with Ian McShane (Hot Rod, Kung Fu Panda) as Mr. Wednesday.
As expected from a Starz TV series, American Gods looks to be bloody and violent, evidenced by someone getting cut in half. It also appears to be quite trippy, with a number of visuals that seem to take place in a dream-like world.
Premiering in the States on 30 April, American Gods is quite promising, judging from the trailer, and long with FX's Legion, is another weird and wonderful TV series about people with strange and powerful abilities.
Hit play on the trailer below and enjoy, but be warned that it's NSFW.
