It’s not just PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds that is receiving an Android and iOS make-over. Fortnite Battle Royale is now also getting in on the action, with Epic Games announcing the development on its website.

iOS players will be the first to get a taste of the game, with sign-up for an invite event kicking off on Monday. For Android fans, well things are more up in the air, with Epic saying nothing more than support will be arriving “in the next few months”. The aim is to eventually offer Cross Play and Cross Progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android, allowing squads to team up across devices.

If you own an Apple device, you need to sign-up at www.Fortnite.com to score an invite, and it seems these will not go out to all who apply. Epic Games notes that the lucky souls scoring an invite will get a link to download the app, also receiving friend invite codes to pass along to friends with iOS 11 installed on an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices.

Not quite sure what the fuss is about? Well check out the trailer below for more of the last man standing action.
