Hasbro says that four Transformers movies on the way over next decade
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 5 October 2015 | Categories: newsIf you like your movies chock-a-block full of CGI and filled to the brim with stunts, then you probably loved the Transformers movie franchise. It's perhaps good news then that Hasbro (which owns the film rights) has detailed a further four movies set to roll out over the next 10 years.
While some of us at the office believe the Michael Bay directed films have lost their way since a great early showing back in 2007, perhaps these four newly slated films will open up the possibility to reboot the franchise. That said, the films have proven box office hits over the past eight years, with the most recent film, Age of Extinction, raking in an estimated $1.1 billion worldwide. At the end of that film, Optimus Prime journeyed into outer space in order to find his 'creators'. As such, it opened up the world of Transformers even further to bigger and better CGI and stunts galore.
Either way Hasbro goes, reboot or continuation, we'd like to see a new quartet of films that stick closer to the original 1980s animated series.
