Hellboy reboot slated for 2019 theatrical release
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 1 December 2017 | Categories: NewsA couple of months ago, David Harbour of Stranger Things revealed a photo of what his version of Hellboy will look like for the upcoming reboot. Needless to say, the actor has clearly been hitting the gym, and strikes an imposing figure for the fan favourite character. While director Guillermo Del Toro is not attached with the project, the pic was enough to keep us interested.
As such, those wanting to keep tabs on the unofficially named reboot will be glad to hear that it is slated for a theatrical release on 11 January 2019 in the States.
Along with when it will be landing in cinemas, a few more details have been revealed for the new Hellboy film. Starring alongside Harbour will be Ian McShane (Deadwood, American Gods), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil franchise) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O).
It's unclear what the focus will be for this Hellboy film though, but we're hoping they steer clear of origin stories and try to craft an intriguing underworld of magic and mystery that Del Toro was famed for in the first two flicks.
