As we ramp up for Apple's press conference tomorrow, where the latest iPhone is expected to make its debut, some more news about the company's forthcoming mobile devices have surfaced. Along with updated versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Apple is also set to reveal a much-rumoured iPhone X anniversary model.

The news was confirmed via a series of leaked details for iOS 11, with firmware directly referencing a smartphone called the iPhone X. The moniker is also linked to a D22 codenamed device, according to iOS developer Steven Troughton-Smith, which has been used to describe the bezel-less phone that Apple has been working on.

As always, much of this is conjecture, with the Cupertino-based company yet to officially comment or confirm any of the leaked iOS 11 details.

That said, the anniversary edition iPhone that Apple has been working on will most likely be a more worthy candidate of the bezel-less screen than the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, especially as it's reported that no Touch ID will be present. With Touch ID a significant part of the iOS experience, eliminating it outright does not make much sense for Apple.

As such, we are predicting an iPhone 8 and 8 Plus with Touch ID to make an appearance tomorrow, alongside a bezel-less iPhone X. All will however, be revealed at 19:00 (SAST).
