May 2020 is the date you will be able to get your next Marvel fix. And, perhaps deservingly so, Marvel kicks off Phase Four with a Black Widow movie. She might have paid the ultimate price in Endgame, but fans of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) will be happy about this turn of events, with the Black Widow movie filling some important gaps in our heroine’s story.
It takes place in the lull between Civil War and Infinity War, while we might also catch up on her origin story if rumours are to be believed. Off on a mission to Russia, Romanoff has a friendly meet and greet with her ‘sister’ Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh, Midsommar), while also sitting down for dinner with Red Guardian, the Russian version of Captain America. Red Guardian is played by David Harbour, which we are happy to see making a return to comic books after the rather disastrous Hellboy.
There’s possibly a major surprise waiting for fans in Black Widow, with IMDB listing Robert Downey Jr. as a rumoured appearance. If so, Marvel will certainly be able to pull in far more fans wanting a (final?) glimpse of Iron Man.
Hit the teaser trailer below for a Marvel kick. As it stands now, we’re not overly impressed with what we’re seeing, although with Marvel’s recent track record, we have no reason for concern.
